This program was given with the Techni-Musique vocal synthesizer (TMPI stands for Techni-Musique et Parole Informatique). Requires Hardware (MEA8000 chip).
No transfer errors.
No inlay.
Nothing in the back of the guarantee card.
Atmos only, partially works on Oric-1 (see below to fix it)
There were apparently two versions of the tape:
- a white one without sticker
- a black one with sticker on side A (and maybe on side B, despite it being gone on the pictures, it seems there was some glue)
Both were recorded once on each side, at fast speed. The programs were all strictly similar, byte for byte.
[synthor_demo.mp3] is a recording of the demo from Synthor, the computer sings "au clair de la lune" (see stuff section).
Fixing the bug for Oric-1:

Synthor bugs on Oric-1 when trying to compose sentences. The bug is in the BASIC software, right here:
10140 NEXT F:POKE BA-SP,#FF:SP=SP+1
Remember there's a bug with POKE command on ROM 1.0, if you poke an hexadecimal value, it just does... Nothing! So replace the line by
10140 NEXT F:POKE BA-SP,255:SP=SP+1
and there you go.

Gret vocal synthesizer, and as far as I know, the only one that has the French accent ;-) Too bad the main program didn't work on Oric-1.
I don't know any commercial program that takes advantage of this synthesizer, too bad. |
