Oric-1 only, doesn't work properly on Atmos.
Several versions of the tapes were released:
- an early black/yellow tape, with side A slow recording, and side B fast recording (twice)
- a later version (gery and red tape) with only fast recordings (unlike what the manual states)
I have kept slow and fast versions since they have a different intro screen:
[galax-f.tap]: fast version
[galax-s.tap]: slow version
The later version has a different loading name: while the early one was "INTRO", the later one was "GALAXIANS". I didn't include this version because I didn't manage to transfer it correctly.
For inifite lives, change line 1030 (remove "L=L-1")

Also checked with Euphoric, this game is only in BASIC as far as the frontend is concerned - everything in-game is 100% machine code. The game listing is less than 100 lines - it would take one heck of a coder to make a commercial game from that! |

For a BASIC (yep - checked with F7 on Euphoric) game, this is pretty fast!!! Good coding to achieve that.
One of the better games of Galaxians that I have ever played.
Controls are very responsive and easy to use.
After each game the screens are easily gone through to get back to another game - a plus in any game. |
