A nice little platform game, albeit with a little repetitive gameplay... Graphics are quite good and so are the sounds effects and the music. Animations of the various objects and traps are well designed and worth mentioning too.
What is also impressive is this game was coded entirely "by hand" by entering all hexadecimal code mnemonics without the help of an assembler/monitor, which is quite a feat if you consider the complexity and the size of this game, so kudos to the author!!!
***** IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PLAYING THE GAME: ***** After booting the disk, you must enter "QUIT" then type "!JIMMY" to launch the game, otherwise it won't work (because of an incompatibility with Sedoric, the main Sedoric program must be QUITted before launching the game -- thanks to "iss" for mentioning this on this forum thread:

Belle découverte plus de 30 ans après, ce petit jeu est très sympa bien qu'un peu répétitif.
Les graphismes sont de bon niveau, les sons et la musique très réussis et il faut noter les nombreuses animations très bien réalisées. Chapeau bas à l'auteur pour avoir codé à l'époque entièrement son jeu directement en hexa, sans moniteur/assembleur, c'est un véritable exploit !!!
NOTE IMPORTANTE POUR LANCER LE JEU: il est impératif après avoir booté la disquette ou le fichier .DSK de taper "QUIT" (pour quitter Sedoric et laisser seulement la partie résidente en mémoire) puis de taper !JIMMY pour lancer le jeu. En effet, le jeu semble dérouter une IRQ de façon non compatible avec Sedoric, et il est donc nécessaire de procéder comme ça pour que le jeu fonctionne correctement (merci à "iss" sur le forum pour cette info !!!)

I'm the author of this game and I could tell you it was a real challenge to code it ! I've written all the game in machine code, no assembler, directly hexa machine coded.... just crazy I was ! Ahah  |
